I wanted to take a moment to explain why I haven’t been active on the blog recently. Unfortunately, I have been dealing with some health issues that have taken up much of my time and energy.
Early October 2022, I was diagnosed with viral meningitis, pneumonia, and liver inflammation. The symptoms were severe and I was hospitalized for a couple of days. It was a scary experience, and it took me a long time to recover. Even now, almost 6 months after, I am still in the process of recovering. Taking things slowly and making sure that I don’t exhaust myself.
During the last couple of months, I had to prioritize my health and well-being above everything else and I had to put all the rest on hold. Let me be honest; This was a difficult process but it made me realize that I need to change my way of life as well.
At first I had to focus on the mental well-being first where I learned new things/ways to control my life. I mean I’ve now come to appreciate the importance of a “peace of mind”. In the past, I felt stressed and overwhelmed by my busy schedule and all of the things I had to do. So now I’m taking a step back and enjoying the peace and quiet. Sometimes, the best thing you can do for yourself is to simply take the moment and enjoy it!
As I gradually regained my strength and energy, I felt the need to take the next step to improve my life: Focusing on my weight and exercise. So I started going to the gym and working out twice a week. At the same time I also started to change my eating habits and developing a new, healthier eating habit.
I’m still not where I want to be and I’ve a lot to learn and to improve, but I’m proud of the progress I’ve made so far. This is for sure a long ride to fully get back to 100% but it for sure is an interesting one.
Anyway, I’ll slowly start blogging and hope that you’ll continue to follow along with my blogging journey and share your thoughts and feedback along the way.
