A couple of weeks ago it was time for a new training: Managing Aruba Cloud-Based Networks with Aruba Central.

Within our company we are using Aruba Central and I wanted to learn more about Aruba Central and its capabilities. This trainer led course was a 3 days long training and which was awesome!

The main focus was to get a broader overview of Aruba Central and its capabilities, including integration with other HPE solutions. It covered a wide range of topics including REST API, MSP features as well as:

  • Onboarding and provisioning of network devices
  • Groups, sites & labels: Which is quite important if you ask me!
  • Integration of VisualRF with Central
  • Configuration of traditional and AOS10 Access Points
  • Value-added services like guest access
  • AIOps
  • Contact tracing, and presence analytics
  • Best practices for administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and reporting

Also, there was a lab environment set up so you could actually get your hands dirty on experiment on the things which you had learned during the days. So it wasn’t all theoretical luckily! This is always handy so you don’t mess around in the live environment and possibly break things! 😉

There is also a certificate which you can earn if you follow an online assessment to test your knowledge which I still need to do but that’s on the plan and I hope to do this somewhere this week! Then I could earn the “Product Specialist” badge!

Will keep you updated on this!
